This drift wood cross has a Western, Edwardian, old appeal. It is unique with its Centered cloth rose that is white with golden flecks.The stiffness of the rose, leads me to believe that it once was either a pin or a fixture on a dress.The rose was purchased at an estate sale. The driftwood was collected this past spring at Cedar Creek Lake. Natural driftwood Cross with a metal butterfly attached to its center has a spiritual appeal.The driftwood was found on Tangle Wood Beach the butterfly was a reclaimed object found at a resale shop. I retouched the butterfly to give it more color and to preserve the driftwood I placed a light wash on it.
